TonyBet secures online gambling license in the Netherlands
The company will be able to provide its customers in the Netherlands with sports betting, casino games, and horse racing betting.
Although the company hasn’t officially announced the domain name it will use for its operations in the Netherlands, it has been confirmed that its license will run for five years.
The country’s regulators have started issuing licenses under the KOA, which came into effect on April 1, 2021. The company’s head office is located in Latvia, and it’s already present in various other countries such as Malta, Spain, Estonia, and Canada.
After getting approval from Latvia’s regulators, TonyBet expanded its operations into the country.

In 2021, the company announced that it entered into a technology and content agreement with Leander. This deal allowed TonyBet to launch various games.
The company was able to secure a license in November 2022 to provide its services to the Dutch market.
Sponsorships
In 2010, TonyBet was named the sponsor of the Lithuanian basketball team. However, the deal was heavily criticized as it included activities such as gambling.
In 2013, the company claimed that it had been the team’s primary sponsor for four years. Aside from basketball, TonyBet also supported other sports organizations in Lithuania and Estonia.
In 2015, the company supported the Juta Racing team as they made their debut in the Porsche CarreraCup GB. The team had a deal with TonyBet before the season started.
Open Face Chinese Poker
In December 2013, TonyBet launched its own version of the Open-face Chinese poker game allowing its customers to play it for real money.
Multi-table and cash games, as well as Sit and Go, are available within the software. It also offers Progressive Fantasy, Turbo, and Pineapple games.
In 2014, TonyBet hosted the debut of the Open Face Chinese Poker World Championship. The event was part of the Prague Poker Festival.
